The Moment

July 31, 2018

Few people know, except for photographers that knows their craft, that the exact moment of taking a photo with an DSLR camera, you are practically not seeing what you actual are photographing.  The mirror system that is inside of a DSLR camera makes it impossible. So, the moment that you capture is mostly an expectation of what you think will be.

Still we are always striving to seize that flash of reality in everyday situations. We look for them, sometimes we prepare for what is going to happen and for so many times we fail to seize the moment in a frame. If you ask a photographer the moments that he regrets the most, he will have a fresh list in his mind, full of details regarding the subject, the environment, even how he felt in that exact 1/250 of a second.

Enjoy the light. Taken in the Bucegi Mountains with Canon EOS 5DMk IV+300mm f2.8 @2.8, ISO 50.

Life is full of moments that deserve to be captured.

Some moments are not to be seen again, not to be seized as wild, running freely instants, but some appear from nowhere just as a reminder of how beautiful life can be.

Full Mouth Raven, best take. With Canon EOS 5D MK IV+300mmf2.8 II IS+ 2xII, 600mm @5.6, ISO 2500.
Full Mouth Raven, take one. With Canon EOS 5D MK IV+300mmf2.8 II IS+ 2xII, 600mm @5.6, ISO 2500.

The raven series above is the essence of photography for me. The moment has to be lived because it loses its essence narrated. Everything was extraordinary.

I have dreamed of this picture ever since I firt saw Andy Rouse Show "It's a wild life" on Animal Planet. So this is a milestone for me. Taken in Sinaia with Canon Eos 7D Mk II+300mm f2.8 II+2xIII @600mm, f6.3, ISO 800, -2EV to creat mood.
Black-throated Loon, in black and white is one of my favorite picture. Taken in Sinaia with Canon Eos 5D Mk IV+300mm f2.8 II+2xIII @600mm, f6.3, ISO 2500

Game Review
From that moment I knew. That feeling of believing something is great, was transforming into a certainty that this sport is truly great.

The Moon, The Sphinx and Mars
Lunar eclipses can be observable from everywhere on the night side of the Earth, if the sky is clear, so I am thankful for the clear sky that allowed me to see it together: The Moon, The Sphinx and Mars.
